10.8.09 - David Going Bi-Coastal
David will officially be splitting his time between Austin and the Bay Area starting in January 2010, with an emphasis on Silicon Valley. We've been traveling for years, but this will mean more time for our friends in California (And now we're SO glad we decided to trade in the 2006 TDI for a CARB-legal 2009 version!).
4.12.09 - Knot "Best Of" Pick!
After months of rumor, David Hill is now officially a "The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009 Pick." Of course we're excited about this particular award, because it is given by survey input from local brides! We suggest you grab a copy of the Knot's new 2009 Best Of issue--and tell us what it says, because ours isn't here yet!
2.20.09 - Vegas!
We just got back from the most bodacious Wedding and Portrait Photographer International (WPPI) shindig in Las Vegas and are glad to be home in Austin. Curious? The blog.

We highly recommend David. He is a very talented photographer that made us feel at ease, but at the same time confident that he was capturing all the memorable moments. He was great to work with!
We got married this past November and had David do our Wedding and Engagement photos. Without exaggerating... David is to photography what Kandinsky is to painting (j/k).
We could not be happier with our wedding and engagement photos. We discussed out style with David and he captured exactly what we wanted and more. The wedding photos capture the emotion of the day and the fun of the reception. Everyone who has seen them is amazed with the quality of the shots and the vibrance of the colors.
The engagement session was one of the most fun days my wife and I have ever had. We were shooting in 100 degree weather and it was a blast. I am outgoing but my wife is reserved and a bit camera shy. David made her feel at ease and gave us exactly what we were looking for. The photos show expressions of joy and laughter that can not be obtained through phony poses.
When we first saw David's website, we wanted to use him but hired someone else to save a bit of money. After the worst engagement session ever with the other guy, we fired the other guy (and lost our $600 deposit) and hired David like we should have done from the beginning. We like David as a person and he was perfect at the wedding. He got the photos without being bossy or getting in the way.
